About Mary Milburn
Mary Frances Milburn has practiced law as a sole proprietor in Massachusetts since she was sworn in. She graduated from the Massachusetts School of Law with a J.D. in the major concentration of Real Estate Law. She was awarded the Volunteer of the Year award by the Essex County BAR Association on May 21, 2009 for her pro-bono work in the Essex County Probate/Family Court’s “Lawyer for the Day” program. She served as the program’s Volunteer Coordinator at the court’s Salem location assisting the indigent with issues including divorce, custody, guardianship, and probate. She currently volunteers once a month at the Salem Council on Aging providing elders with legal assistance.
Mary teaches Estate Planning at the Bertolon School of Business at Salem State University, helping graduates obtain certificates in Financial Planning.
Mary also holds an M.S. in Operations Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and is a former business analyst and manager having held positions at Putnam Investor Services, Chase Manhattan and Chase Global Funds. She has also worked in the mortgage loan industry at National Bank Alaska (now Wells Fargo), and East West Mortgage.
